Green Day release expanded 25th anniversary edition of Insomniac

Green Day have released a previously-announced expanded 25th anniversary reissue of their 1995 album, “Insomniac.”

Now available digitally and in limited-edition colored vinyl, the band’s fourth studio record is filled out with eight performances from Prague from their 19995 tour in support of the project.

Led by the single “Geek Stink Breath”, “Insomniac” reached No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 on its way to sales of more than 2 million copies in the country.

The album followed the massive success the band’s major label debut, 1994’s “Dookie”, which scored five hit singles and went on to sell 10 million copies in the US and a total of 20 million worldwide.

Green Day recently issued a video for their new single, “Here Comes The Shock”, the group’s first new music since their 2020 album, “Father of All…”
