Due December 10, “BBC Sessions” presents 16-tracks from four of the band's appearances at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale Studios from 1994, 1996, 1998, and 2001.
Four months after releasing their breakthrough album, “Dookie”, Green Day were on hand to deliver three songs from set – "She", "When I Come Around", and "Basket Case" – as well as their 1991 “Kerplunk” track, “2000 Light Years Away."
While promoting 1995’s "Insomniac", the group returned to the BBC in 1996 and played live versions of “Geek Stink Breath”, "Brain Stew/Jaded", "Walking Contradiction" and “Stuck With Me.”
Two more 4-song appearances took place in 1998 and 2001.
“BBC Sessions” will be available on CD, digital, and limited-edition 2LP vinyl configurations, including Sea Blue/Hot Pink vinyl for the band's official store and Milky Clear Color vinyl for indie retailers.
Green Day will preview the record by releasing a song from the package each week up to its December arrival, starting with the 1994 performance of “2000 Light Years Away.”
