Eddie Vedder shares Long Way performance from Ohana Festival

Eddie Vedder is sharing video of a performance of his new single, “Long Way”, from the recent Ohana Festival series.

Founded and curated by Vedder, the event at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA saw the singer step in as a last-minute fill-in for Kings Of Leon on the September 24 opening night as the band dealt with a family issue; the rocker also delivered his scheduled headlining set the following night before being joined by Pearl Jam for a closing night set, with the Seattle band returning to headline both nights of an encore weekend a week later.

Vedder’s solo sets saw him play with a lineup that included former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist and new Pearl Jam touring member Josh Klinghoffer, guitarists Andrew Watt and Glen Hansard, bassist Pino Palladino and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.

“Long Way” is the first single from Vedder’s forthcoming album, “Earthling”, which he’s working on with Watt roducing some tracks on the project.

Pearl Jam recently released a pair of newly-remixed editions of their 1991 debut, “Ten”, and 1996’s “No Code” albums to mark their simultaneous 30th and 25th anniversaries respectively.
