Taylor Hawkins son performs with Foo Fighters at tribute concert

Taylor Hawkins’ son, Shane, performed with the Foo Fighters at the London tribute concert to his father on September 3, and pro-shot video from the event is available online.

Dave Grohl brought the 16-year-old out on stage to sit in and play drums on the group’s 1997 hit, “My Hero”, near the end of an emotional show at Wembley Stadium as the band honored their late bandmate.

The crowd delivered a huge round of applause for Shane as he arrived behind the drum kit at center stage.

The first of two tribute concerts saw the Foos joined by an extensive list of rockers, including Liam Gallagher, Wolfgang Van HAlen, and members of Queen, Rush, AC/DC, The Police, and many more; a second event will take place on September 27 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
