Steven Tyler illness sees Aerosmith cancel second Las Vegas residency show

Aerosmith has been forced to cancel a second show in their Deuces Are Wild residency in Las Vegas as Steven Tyler continues to recover from an undisclosed illness.

Following news that a December 2 performance at Dolby Live at the Park MGM in Las Vegas was shut down on short notice “due to Steven feeling unwell and unable to perform”, the group have now cancelled a December 5 performance at the venue.

“On the advice of my doctor, I’m taking more time to rest,” Tyler shared in a note to fans on social media. “There is nowhere we’d rather be than on stage surrounded by the greatest fans in the world.”

“We sincerely apologize,” added the band. “Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster.com will be automatically refunded. All other refunds will be available at point of purchase.”

The Boston rockers’ last performance took place on November 29; Aerosmith is scheduled to wrap up its "Deuces Are Wild" residency with performances on Thursday, December 8 and Sunday, December 11.
