Metallica to premiere new album 72 Seasons in cinemas worldwide

Metallica will premiere their new album, “72 Seasons”, with a global listening party in cinemas worldwide on Thursday, April 13, the night before the project hits stores.

“Hang out with fellow Metallica fans at your local movie theater, celebrate the release of ‘72 Seasons’, and experience the full album for the first time in surround sound,” says the band. “Each song will feature its own video playing on screen, along with quips and commentary from us about the recording process and how the songs came together.

“To bring us all together, we’re joining forces with Trafalgar Releasing for the third time; first in 2010 for the live theatrical stream of the Big 4 show from Sofia, Bulgaria, and again in 2019 when ‘S&M2’ hit the theaters. Trafalgar partners with thousands of theaters in 132 countries worldwide, so hopefully, there’s one right in your neighborhood.”

Tickets for “72 Seasons - Global Premiere” will be available beginning Thursday, March 2 at metallica.film.

Produced by Greg Fidelman, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, Metallica will launch a two-year world tour in support of “72 Seasons” in Amsterdam, NL two weeks after the album’s release.
