Metallica to perform on The Howard Stern Show

Metallica will perform live during an April 12 appearance on The Howard Stern Show ahead of the release of their new album, “72 Seasons.”

“We’re so honored to be once again invited to join Howard, Robin, and the gang for another round of album, tour talk, and whatever else he has on his mind!,” says the band about the SiriusXM program. “We’ll be up early on Wednesday, April 12 and in between all the chatter, we’re also going to fire up the amps and get behind the drums for some live fun and games.

“Thanks to Howard for inviting us back... we look forward to it! Tune in for lots of conversation and some morning metal!”

Metallica will release “72 Seasons” on April 14; produced by Greg Fidelman, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, the project marks the group’s first new studio album since 2016's “Hardwired...To Self-Destruct.”

“72 Seasons” will be available in multiple formats, including 2LP 140g black vinyl and limited-edition variants, CD, digital, and in Dolby Atmos (streaming where available).

You can pre-order the new album here.
