Noel Gallagher debuts Council Skies video

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are debuting a video for “Council Skies”, the title track to their forthcoming album.

While Gallagher recorded the album at his Lone Star Recording Studios in London, and co-produced the set with long-time collaborator Paul 'Strangeboy' Stacey, the outfit recorded strings for the song at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.

In keeping with the themes of “Council Skies”, the single is accompanied by a new video filmed in Manchester, England, and captures the band performing inside the city's stunning historic venue New Century Hall - a key location in Manchester's musical heritage, having hosted performances by Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones.

Directed by long-time High Flying Birds collaborators Dan Cadan and Jonathan Mowatt, the music video also features a cameo from musician John Robb of The Membranes, another Mancunian legend.

Due June 2, “Council Skies” will be the fourth full album release by Gallagher and the band, and their first since 2017’s “Who Built The Moon?”

“Council Skies” will be available via multiple formats, including HD digital, CD, LP, 3LP and 2CD deluxe limited-edition packages, featuring remixes by The Cure’s Robert Smith and The Pet Shop Boys.

Gallagher will launch the 2023 release on a co-headlining North American tour with Garbage that will opens in Auburn, WA on June 2.
