Metallica nominated for multiple 2024 Grammy Awards

Metallica has been nominated for multiple honors at the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards.

The band are finalists in three categories, including Best Rock Album for “72 Seasons”, Best Rock Performance for “Lux Æterna”, and Best Metal Performance for the title track to “72 Seasons”.

Launched with the lead single, “Lux AEterna”, Metallica released its eleventh studio album in April; recorded at the group’s HQ in San Rafael, CA and produced by Greg Fidelman and band members James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, the project debuted at No. 1 on the US Album Sales chart.

The 66th Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles; it will air live at 8:00 PM ET on the CBS Television Network and will stream on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs).
