AC/DC Back In Black video passes 1 billion YouTube views

The video for AC/DC’s 1980 classic, “Back In Black”, has passed 1 billion views on YouTube.

The song was the fourth single from the project, which followed the passing of singer Bon Scott and the addition of former Geordie member Brian Johnson to handle lead vocals.

Featuring classic tracks like “You Shook Me All Night Long”, “Shoot To Thrill” and “Hells Bells”, “Back In Black” would reach No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 upon its original release and go on to be the best-selling hard rock album in history, with estimated worldwide sales of 50 million.

The clip for title track to the record was uploaded to the streaming service in November of 2012.

The “Back In Black” video marks AC/DC's second song to reach the YouTube milestone, after "Thunderstruck" was their first to reach the landmark in 2021.
