Auto manufacturer Honda is hoping songs by Judas Priest, Pete Townshend and others will motivate consumers to buy their products this summer.
Priest’s 1982 classic, “You've Got Another Thing Comin'" is featured in a new commercial introducing a new campaign dubbed the "Honda Summer Clearance Event."
It’s not the first time Honda have teamed up with the metal icons: in 2010, Priest’s “The Hellion” was used in a campaign to try and sell mini-vans for the company.
In a press release, Honda says the new campaign features well-known tunes to conjure up the rush consumers experience when they first drive off the lot in a new vehicle.
In addition to Priest, the auto maker will feature songs by Pete Townshend (“Let My Love Open the Door”), Derek and the Dominos ("Layla"), Cyndi Lauper ("Girls Just Want to Have Fun"), and a couple of tracks from pop acts.
