The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne world cinema premiere announced

The world premiere cinema screening of “The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne” documentary has been announced.

Directed by R. Greg Johnston, the 2020 film – which traces Ozzy’s life from his childhood in Birmingham through the rise of Black Sabbath and his ensuing success as a solo artist – will see it’s official cinema debut at the city’s Millennium Point on July 4.

People will have two opportunities to see the film on the day, at either 16:00 or 18:30 BST, with all profits donated to charity.

At the end of the evening, special guest Jack Osbourne – Ozzy’s son – will be appearing live for a Q&A with those attending the later screening.

“Like all of Birmingham, we love the Osbournes,” says Millenium Point CEO Abbie Vlahakis, “and are excited to be hosting the world premiere of ‘The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne’ at Millennium Point. Birmingham’s biggest star belongs on Birmingham’s biggest screen!”

The following day – July 5 – Ozzy will reunite with Black Sabbath for the first time in 20 years when they regroup with the singer as part of his final live performance.

Billed as “Back To The Beginning”, the event will see Osbourne play his own short set before being joined by Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward when they take the stage at Birmingham’s Villa Park alongside an extensive lineup of guest artists.

Proceeds from the premiere and concert event will go to the Cure Parkinson’s, Acorns Children’s Hospice and Birmingham Children’s Hospital charities.
