The song follows “Twelve Gates” and “The Riff That Won't Quit” as the third featured track from the follow-up to 2021’s “In Another World.”
The late 2025 release was produced by the band and Julian Raymond, mixed by Chris Lord Alge, and recorded at various studios in Nashville (Sound Emporium Studios, Blackbird, Love Shack, Zen) as well as in LA (Sweetzerland Studios) through 2024.
“The Best Thing” arrives this week in sync with the launch of the band’s 2026 “All Washed Up Tour”; with shows currently scheduled into late April, the series includes a two night stand at The Venetian Theatre inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, where Cheap Trick will perform "At Budokan" - the 1978 album captured at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo - in its entirety, along with the group's other hits.
