Hollywood Vampires documentary to premiere at Boston Film Festival

“Unleashed Spirits: The Rise of the Hollywood Vampires” will have its World Premiere At The 42nd annual Boston Film Festival at the historic Boch Center Wang Theatre on Friday, September 18.

Directed by Daniel E. Catullo III, the new music documentary traces the band’s background and history, which began with a secret 1970’s drinking and social club led by Alice Cooper, before it went on to inspire the supergroup featuring Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen.

“Unleashed Spirits” explores their journey from a hidden Hollywood haunt to arena rock stardom, highlighting their extraordinary collaborations with legendary talent on and behind the stage. “Unleashed Spirits” takes audiences inside their evolution as a band from the earliest rehearsals and recording sessions to increasingly ambitious performances around the globe.

The film chronicles the band's transformation from an improbable gathering of famous friends into a formidable live act capable of commanding some of the world's biggest stages.

At its heart, “Unleashed Spirits” is about friendship: the unlikely bond between artists from very different worlds who discovered a shared sanctuary in music. It explores what happens when people who have spent much of their lives surrounded by fame find a place where none of that matters. Onstage, they aren't an iconic shock-rock pioneer, one of the world's most recognizable actors, one of the greatest guitarists of his generation, and a renowned musician and producer – they are simply bandmates.

A special Q&A with Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Tommy Henriksen and director Daniel Catullo will follow the screening.

World Premiere Screening Tickets and VIP Tickets Including an Opening Night After Party are available NOW at: www.bochcenter.org

Hollywood Vampires are currently playing dates across Europe, with the series wrapping up in mid-September.

The group recently released a digital edition of “Hollywood Vampires At Montreux Jazz Festival”; it will be available on CD and vinyl on October 16 via earMUSIC.

Hollywood Vampires tribute David Bowie at Montreux Jazz Festival performance

Hollywood Vampires – the rock supergroup fronted by Alice Cooper – have released a version of the David Bowie classic, "Heroes", as the third track issued from their upcoming live album “At Montreux Jazz Festival.”

Recorded during the band's 2018 appearance at the legendary event, the track is a powerful tribute to one of rock's most beloved icons and one of the most emotional moments of the new live album.

The version features a heartfelt vocal performance by Johnny Depp, bringing new depth and intimacy to one of rock music’s most beloved songs. Backed by Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen, the band transforms Bowie’s anthem into a moving tribute to the enduring power of music, friendship, and legacy.

“Hollywood Vampires At Montreux Jazz Festival” was released digitally on August 7 and will be available on CD and vinyl on October 16 via earMUSIC.

Rooted in the spirit of the original Hollywood Vampires, a legendary collective of musicians united by friendship, mischief, and a shared love for rock 'n' roll, the band channels both the reckless joy, and the deeper reflection that defined an era.

As captured in this live recording, their performance embodies that same paradox: The wild abandon of rock excess alongside a heartfelt tribute to those who came before them.

Hollywood Vampires are currently playing dates in the UK before performing across Europe later this month and into September.

Hollywood Vampires tribute Lemmy at Montreux Jazz Festival performance

Hollywood Vampires – the rock supergroup featuring Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen – are releasing "Ace Of Spades" as the second single from their upcoming live album “At Montreux Jazz Festival.”

Recorded during the band's 2018 appearance at the legendary festival, the track is a powerful tribute to one of rock's most beloved icons - Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead.

A highlight of the upcoming album, "Ace Of Spades" reflects the band's long-standing mission of celebrating the artists who shaped rock music. Few songs embody the rebellious spirit of rock 'n' roll quite like Motorhead's signature anthem, making it a fitting addition to a set that bridges the Vampires' own material with tributes to their musical heroes.

"Lemmy was one of a kind," the band says. "'Ace Of Spades' remains one of the defining songs in rock history, and this performance honors his legacy."

“Hollywood Vampires At Montreux Jazz Festival” will be released digitally on August 7 and on CD and vinyl on October 16 via earMUSIC.

Hollywood Vampires to release At Montreux Jazz Festival performance

Hollywood Vampires, the rock supergroup consisting of Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen announce “At Montreux Jazz Festival”, a powerful live document from their legendary 2018 performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival

The Hollywood Vampires took to the prestigious Montreux stage, bringing their unique blend of theatrical rock, reverence for their fallen heroes, and unapologetic energy to one of the most renowned festivals in the world.

The evening included several cover versions that had not previously been released by Hollywood Vampires, including a standout rendition of Motorhead's "Ace of Spades," as a tribute to the late Lemmy.

Ahead of the album’s release digitally on August 7 and on CD and vinyl on October 16 via earMUSIC, the band are previewing the project with "Raise The Dead."

Alice Cooper reissues two classic albums

Alice Cooper will reissue two classic albums from his extensive discography.

The iconic rocker has expanded 2008’s “Along Came A Spider” and 2011’s “Welcome 2 My Nightmare.”

“Along Came A Spider” features Slash on "Vengeance Is Mine", while "Wake the Dead" carries the weight of Ozzy Osbourne behind the scenes.

This remastered reissue lands in two formats, including a Jewelcase CD and a 2LP Gatefold (45 RPM) vinyl edition. Both come packed with three bonus tracks, giving fans a little extra to dig into.

Then there's “Welcome 2 My Nightmare.” The return to Steven's story. The sequel fans waited decades for, it delivers threads from the original 1975 album and twists them into something new. Familiar, but not stuck in the past.

The guest list reads like the invitation list to a very exclusive nightmare. Desmond Child brings his hitmaking touch, while Ke$ha adds a surprising edge. Even better, original band members Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway, and Neal Smith step back in, reconnecting the sound to its roots.

This reissue comes as a newly mastered 2CD digipak and a 3LP Gatefold (45 RPM) vinyl set, built for serious listening. Seven bonus tracks are included, among them live cuts of "Poison" and "No More Mr. Nice Guy" recorded at Download Festival.

The reissues of “Along Came A Spider” and “Welcome 2 My Nightmare” are available across all major platforms and in multiple physical formats.

Alice Cooper streams new album with original Alice Cooper Band

Alice Cooper is streaming a new album with The Original Alice Cooper Band in sync with its July 25 release via earMUSIC.

“The Revenge of Alice Cooper” sees the rocker reunite with the surviving members of the lineup for the first time in 50 years.

The project sees Alice, drummer Neal Smith, guitarist Michael Bruce, and bassist Dennis Dunaway reunite with their producer Bob Ezrin in a old-school recording studio in Connecticut, rekindling the magic from the 70s.

The project features a posthumous appearance by Glen Buxton, the band’s original guitarist who passed away in 1997, through an unreleased recording that seamlessly blends the past with the present on “What Happened To You,” featuring his original guitar part.

One of the bonus tracks (box set & limited smart format) also includes a long-lost gem from 1970 – a raw, alternate take of “Return of The Spiders” (not the version heard on “Easy Action”) – recently unearthed from original multi-tracks missing for 50 years and now enhanced and mixed by Ezrin.

This highly anticipated album is heralded as the successor to the band’s iconic records “Schools Out” “Billion Dollar Babies,” “Love It to Death,” and “Killer.”

Alice Cooper releases Wild Ones video

Alice Cooper has released a video for “Wild Ones”, as the latest preview “The Revenge of Alice Cooper,” the forthoming album which features – for the first time in 50 years – The Original Alice Cooper Group.

Inspired by the iconic 1953 film “The Wild One” starring Marlon Brando, the track captures the same defiant spirit that once shocked middle America and defined a generation.

Reuniting five decades after their rise to fame, the band channels the chaos, danger, and cool of their early days, a time when rock was feared, eyeliner was scandalous, and every show felt like a revolution.

Due July 25 via earMUSIC, “The Revenge Of Alice Cooper” sees Alice, drummer Neal Smith, guitarist Michael Bruce, and bassist Dennis Dunaway reunite with their producer Bob Ezrin in a old-school recording studio in Connecticut, rekindling the magic from the 70s.

Alice Cooper reunites original band for new album after 50 years

For the first time in over 50 years, the original Alice Cooper group has reunited to release a brand-new studio album, “The Revenge of Alice Cooper,” set to release on July 25 via earMUSIC.

Alice, drummer Neal Smith, guitarist Michael Bruce, and bassist Dennis Dunaway have reunited with their producer Bob Ezrin in a old-school recording studio in Connecticut, rekindling the magic from the 70s.

"The Revenge of Alice Cooper" is a high-voltage journey into vintage horror and classic ’70s shock rock, capturing the sound, energy, and mischief that made the original Alice Cooper band legendary.

In a truly special moment, the album features a posthumous appearance by Glen Buxton, the band’s original guitarist who passed away in 1997, through an unreleased recording that seamlessly blends the past with the present on “What Happened To You,” featuring his original guitar part.

If that wasn’t cool enough, one of the bonus tracks (box set & limited smart format) also includes a long-lost gem from 1970 – a raw, alternate take of “Return of The Spiders” (not the version heard on “Easy Action”)—recently unearthed from original multi-tracks missing for 50 years and now enhanced and mixed by Bob Ezrin.

This highly anticipated album is heralded as the successor to the band’s iconic records “Schools Out” “Billion Dollar Babies,” “Love It to Death,” and “Killer.”

The 2025 record is being previewed with the first single from the album, “Black Mamba,” featuring the legendary Robby Krieger of The Doors.

“We couldn’t think of a better cover to do than ‘Magic Bus’ because we all live on a bus,” explains Cooper in the third installment of the “Behind The Tracks” series. “And what The Who have contributed to, at least, our career – they were a huge influence on us …The Who and The Yardbirds … so we just said ‘let’s a do a version of it’, let’s do a little bit. A lot we did on our own live in the studio and I don’t think there was any obverdubs on that one; we just did it all, right then, and it just came out great.”

The rocker also shares insight into three more songs: “Road Rats Forever”, “Baby Please Don't Go” and “100 More Miles.”

Cooper is currently playing dates on a US tour, with shows scheduled into late October.
