Joe Walsh rocked his 1979 classic, “In The City”, on the October 25 episode of ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Originally featured on the soundtrack for the film “The Warriors”, Walsh also recorded a version that same year with The Eagles for the band’s album “The Long Run.”

The late night episode saw Walsh talking about co-founding VetsAid to honor his dad, all the amazing musicians joining the cause, learning to play the guitar with help from Pete Townshend, and playing the clarinet in school – before he and the host jammed on the clarinet together.
Walsh founded VetsAid in 2017 as a national non-profit organization and benefit music festival to raise and disperse sorely needed funds to veterans groups across the US. The upcoming 7th annual edition of the event will be held at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in San Diego, CA with a lineup that sees Walsh joined by Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Stephen Stills, The War On Drugs, The Flaming Lips, and Lucius.
To date, VetsAid has disbursed $3,000,000 in grants. In 2023, VetsAid plans to disburse grants exclusively to organizations based in Southern California or with operations on the ground in Southern California.
Walsh and The Eagles will resume their Long Goodbye farewell tour in Atlanta, GA on November 2.

The Eagles have added a pair of January 2024 concert dates to their Long Goodbye farewell tour.
The band will play the city’s Kia Forum on Friday, January 5 and Saturday, January 6, marking the ten-year anniversary of the six Eagles' concerts in January 2014 that reopened the reimagined Forum after its magnificent $100 million renovation, and quickly transformed the building into once again being the premiere Los Angeles concert venue.
The Eagles' long-time contemporaries and fellow Hall of Famers, Steely Dan, will be joining these historic shows and commemorating their own 50+ year career.
The presale begins Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 10 AM PDT and runs through to the end of the business day on Thursday, Oct 12.

The Eagles have announced the first dates for an extensive farewell tour.
Billed as “The Long Goodbye”, the series will see Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands.
The tour – which opens at New York’s Madison Square Garden on September 7 and will see Steely Dan joining these historic shows while commemorating their own 50+ year career – is expected to continue into 2025.
"The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds,” says the band. “Credit and thanks go to our longtime management team, our dedicated road crew, and our exceptional backup musicians for providing skilled and steadfast support, throughout these many years. We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful. Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed.But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle. The official farewell tour is currently in the planning stages. We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this final round.So, scheduling information will be released as dates are set. The difficulties of booking venues for multiple nights may require us to return to certain cities, depending on demand. But, we hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up.
