The Eagles preview One Of These Nights expanded reissue

The Eagles are streaming audio of a performance of their classic hit, “Lyin’ Eyes”, as the latest preview to the May 1 release of an expanded Deluxe Edition of their 1975 studio album “One Of These Nights.”

Available for the first time, the song is one of 16 tracks captured at the band’s appearance at the Sunshine Festival at Anaheim Stadium in California. Recorded at the end of the tour for One Of These Nights, the show features Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Randy Meisner, Bernie Leadon, and Don Felder.

The show also finds the Eagles in a significant transition period, as it marks Leadon’s final performance with the band while Joe Walsh, who would become an official member months later, joins the group for the encore, performing his song “Rocky Mountain Way.”

Originally produced by Bill Szymczyk and recorded at Criteria Studios in Miami and the Record Plant in Los Angeles, “One Of These Nights” was a milestone for the band: it delivered the first of four consecutive US No. 1 albums while achieving quadruple Platinum certification for 4 million copies sold in the US, and the single, “Lyin’ Eyes”, won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

“One Of These Nights (Deluxe Edition)” will be available as a 3CD/Blu-ray set featuring a new mix of the original album by Rob Jacobs, an unreleased, 16-song 1975 concert at Anaheim Stadium, and new Dolby Atmos and high-res stereo mixes. A 3LP version, released the same day, will include the new album mix and the full concert recording.

The Blu-ray that accompanies the CD set presents the album and the live performance in Dolby Atmos and high-resolution stereo, while the Atmos mix of the original album will also be available digitally.
