Neil Young announces solo tour

Neil Young kicks off his 2011 live schedule with a brief solo tour set to launch April 15th in Durham, NC, and run for about 3 weeks.

The tour, which will include stops with a pair of nights at Boston's Wang Theatre and two shows at the prestigious and intimate Avery Fisher Hall in NYC's Lincoln Center, will cover songs from Neil's current album, “Le Noise,” as well as classic tracks performed in both electric and acoustic settings.

Young recently won his first music (second-ever) Grammy Award for "Best Rock Song" for "Angry World" - a track off the Daniel Lanois-produced “Le Noise,” which was also nominated for "Best Rock Album."

This month, Young is up for two Juno Awards – including "Artist of The Year" and "Adult Alternative Album Of The Year," while Lanois is nominated for "Producer Of The Year" – and Neil will be honored with the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award at Canada's 40th annual Juno Awards on March 27 in Toronto.
