In an American Idol episode full of surprises, Stevie Wonder appeared on Thursday night’s results show to sing a special "Happy Birthday" tribute to the Aerosmith frontman.
The Top 11 Idol contestants danced on stage with Stevie while fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson brought Tyler up on stage for the occasion.
Tyler was presented with a portrait and a huge birthday cake; he turns 63 on March 26.
Steven was genuinely surprised at the birthday celebration, sharing his thoughts on Twitter:
“Idol was out of this world….what an incredible night”
“Hey I’m wheels up on my way to birthday in Heavin & watch the sun come up on a truly blessed child of God that Stveie Wonder sang Happy Birthday to…pinch me please”
