KISS: Tommy Thayer meets Alex Lifeson of Rush

KISS lead guitarist Tommy Thayer paid a backstage visit to Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson at LA's Gibson Amphitheatre Monday night.

Tommy and Alex are the only guitarists that have their own Signature model amplifiers with Hughes & Kettner.

Rush's Time Machine tour runs until July 2nd; KISS continues their "Hottest Show On Earth" North American tour this week on June 23rd in Everett, WA.

KISS have been in the studio working on the follow-up to 2009’s “Sonic Boom,” which was their first studio album in more than a decade.

Vocalist/guitarist Paul Stanley produced that album, and he’s doing the same on this one. “Paul knows more what a KISS record should sound like than anybody, to be honest with you,” Thayer told BackstageAxxess.com at the winter NAMM convention, “so he is going to lead the charge and produce it again and we are all really excited about it.”
