VIDEO: Sammy Hagar joins Kid Rock in Detroit

Sammy Hagar made his way north this past weekend to open two hometown shows in Detroit for Kid Rock.

Hagar’s short, 9-song opening sets featured a mix of Montrose, solo and Van Halen tracks.

On Friday, Hagar joined Rock for a cover version of the Grand Funk Railroad classic "We're An American Band."

Hagar has been in the studio this year working on the new Chickenfoot album; “Chickenfoot III” hits stores September 27.

Heads up for Hagar fans: tickets for Sammy’s annual Cabo Birthday Bash go on sale tomorrow - August 16th. The direct link to buy tickets is here.
