VIDEO: Duff McKagan’s Loaded covers Nirvana

Next week, Nirvana fans will get their hands on the 20th-anniversary deluxe edition of "Nevermind.”

On September 27, the package will be available as a remastered CD and digital release, a two-disc set featuring B-sides and demo recordings, and a "super deluxe" four-CD/one-DVD limited edition that will include an alternate mix of the album by producer Butch Vig – it’s this version that will also come with a 90-page book and a CD/DVD of Nirvana's 1991 Halloween gig in Seattle.

A vinyl edition of "Nevermind" will also be released, along with separate Blu-ray and DVD versions of the Halloween 1991 show.

This past Tuesday, the album was played live in its entirety at the Sky Church venue at Seattle’s Experience Music Project; although not originally created as such, the event was a fundraising show for Geffen Records publicist Susie Tennant, someone who championed Nirvana back in the day, was friends with the group, and who is currently battling ovarian cancer.

Each track from “Nevermind” was played by a different Seattle group, including The Fastbacks, Presidents Of The USA, Champagne Champagne, and others.

Duff McKagan’s Loaded stepped up with their version of “Lithium” for the show.
