VIDEO: Aerosmith bassist teases release of new songs

Aerosmith wrapped up their summer Global Warming tour last weekend and are taking a short break before returning to action.

The band’s first album of new music in 11 years, “Music From Another Dimension,” will be released November 6, but the group will be sharing some new songs in the coming weeks, according to bassist Tom Hamilton.

“We’re in Bristow, Virgina,” said Hamilton on Sunday. “It’s the last show of this leg of the tour we’ve been on all summer. We’re going to go and chill for a while – and while we’re taking a break – a couple of new songs from the new album are going to come out at the end of August.”

“Legendary Child,” the album’s lead single, debuted in May when the band performed on the American Idol season finale, just weeks before Aerosmith began their summer tour.
