Aerosmith have released the official trailer for their forthcoming album, “Music From Another Dimension.”
Due November 6, it’s the Boston band’s first studio album since 2004 and first project of new material since 2001’s “Just Push Play.”
Aerosmith recorded the album with producer Jack Douglas, who worked on such band classics 1974's "Get Your Wings," 1975's "Toys in the Attic," and 1976's "Rocks"; the veteran producer reunited with the band on its 2004 collection of blues standards, "Honkin' on Bobo."
“[The new album] was the first time that we got together as a band in a room, with a producer, and started cranking stuff up,” says Joe Perry. “It’s basically been the same way we’ve made records all along. It feels good.”
“I think once we got into the groove, there were ten years of backloged creative musical ideas just busting to come out,” adds Brad Whitford. “And they did.”
“Legendary Child,” the album’s lead single, debuted in May when the band performed on the American Idol season finale, just weeks before Aerosmith began their recently-completed summer tour.
This week, the band released the new single, “Lover Alot” – hear it here.
