AC/DC: Bon Scott named 2nd greatest Australian singer

AC/DC legend Bon Scott has been named the second greatest Australian singer of all-time in a new survey of Aussie singers.

The Daily Telegraph reports Scott landed at No. 2 behind pop singer John Farnham on the list, which was compiled after a survey of Aussie singers.

"Bon's combination of cheek, wit and balls made everything he did unforgettable,” said Dave Faulkner of the Hoodoo Gurus. “He was also a brilliant songwriter. Do I really need to say any more about the genius of Bon Scott? We were very lucky to have him."

"Bon Scott is a total legend," commented Lee Kernaghan. "Nobody’s done it better since."

Scott was AC/DC’s vocalist from 1974 until his death in 1980. He recorded six albums with the band – from 1975’s “High Voltage” to 1979’s “Highway To Hell.”

The list also includes INXS’ Michael Hutchence (#4), Jimmy Barnes (#5), and Daniel Johns of Silverchair (#11).
