Stevie Nicks to guest on American Horror Story: Coven

Stevie Nicks will have a cameo on an upcoming episode of the FX program American Horror Story: Coven.

Series creator Ryan Murphy tweeted the news Tuesday, writing, “Guess who's visiting the Coven? The legendary Stevie Nicks!”

Coven is the third season of the American Horror Story anthology, following Murder House (season 1)) and Asylum (season 2).

Coven takes place in the present day New Orleans with flashbacks to the 1800s and follows the battle between witches and voodoo practitioners.

Last month, Nicks and Fleetwood Mac cancelled a tour of Australia and New Zealand following news that bassist John McVie had been diagnosed with cancer.

One of the co-founding and original members of Fleetwood Mac, McVie is scheduled to be in treatment for cancer during that period of time.

"We are sorry to not be able to play these Australian and New Zealand dates,” posted the group. “We hope our Australian and New Zealand fans as well as Fleetwood Mac fans everywhere will join us in wishing John and his family all the best.”

Earlier this year, the band released the 4-song “Extended Play”, their first new music in 10 years.
