Guns N’ Roses: Axl Rose to be honored at Revolver Golden Gods Awards

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose will be honored with the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2014 Revolver Golden Gods Awards in Los Angeles on April 23.

Rose will take his place in the Golden Gods Hall Of Fame alongside previous honorees Metallica, Rush, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead.

Billed as America's only hard-rock and heavy-metal awards show, The Revolver Golden Gods event will take place at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

Among this year's nominees are Black Sabbath, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold and Korn.

Tickets for the 2014 Revolver Golden Gods Awards will be available starting Friday, February 28 at 10 a.m. ET at AXS.com.

Guns N’ Roses will kick off their 2014 live dates with a March 16 headlining date at the Hell & Heaven Metal Festival in Feria De Texcoco, Mexico, followed by a tour of South America.

The band will return to Las Vegas for their second residency, "No Trickery! An Evening Of Destruction", at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The band will play a total of nine shows between May 21 and June 7.

In the fall of 2012, GNR performed a 12-show run at The Joint: “Appetite For Democracy” saw the band play the biggest hits from their debut album, 1987’s “Appetite For Destruction” through to 2008’s “Chinese Democracy.”
