Axl Rose’s former assistant to publish Guns N’ Roses book

Axl Rose’s former personal assistant, Craig Duswalt, is set to publish "Welcome To My Jungle", a new book about his experiences with the legendary rockers.

Due May 13, the project tells Duwalt’s story during his time as Axl’s personal manager during Guns N’ Roses’ Use Your Illusion tour, which went on nonstop from 1991 to 1993 and was the final tour for the band’s original lineup.

In “Welcome To My Jungle”, Duwalt shares his experiences with one of the most legendary bands in rock and roll history. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes just plain reckless, and always insane, Craig gives readers an inside look at what it’s really like to live and work with a hugely popular band, from the middle of a rock and roll hurricane.

Fans will read the inside story of events like:

- The day Axl Rose, Kurt Cobain, and Courtney Love got into a “huge war” backstage at the MTV Awards
- Why Guns N’ Roses are forever linked to Charles Manson
- The night Liz Taylor walked in on a very nude Slash — and stayed a while

The New York Post has published an excerpt from the book here.

Later this month, Guns N’ Roses will return to Las Vegas for their second residency, "No Trickery! An Evening Of Destruction", at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The band will play a total of nine shows between May 21 and June 7.
