Aerosmith: Joe Perry’s memoir hits New York Times Best Sellers list

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry’s new memoir, "Rocks: My Life In And Out Of Aerosmith", continues its run on the New York Times Best Sellers List.

The autobiography debuted last week at No. 8 on the "Hardcover Nonfiction" chart, and currently sits at No. 10 in its second week.

In “Rocks”, Perry opens up for the first time about the wild, inside story of his life in the legendary band he co-founded in 1970.

The guitarist just completed a 2-week nationwide book signing tour to launch the memoir.

Perry recently shared a classic guitar story from “Rocks” involving Slash on TBS’ late night show, Conan.

The rocker explained how he sold his favourite guitar when he left Aerosmith in 1979 to fund the launch of his solo band, The Joe Perry Project.

Perry eventually returned to Aerosmith and when the band was back on its feet, he went searching for the axe, only to discover it found its way into Slash’s hands.
