Bob Seger marks 35th anniversary of Against The Wind on In The Studio

The 35th anniversary of Bob Seger’s “Against The Wind” is featured on the latest edition of North American rock radio series In The Studio.

Released this month in 1980, Seger’s 11th album – and 3rd with the Silver Bullet Band – debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album charts on its way to selling more than 5 million copies in the States alone.

Anticipation for “Against The Wind” was so high out of the gate that the album knocked Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” out of the US No. 1 spot after a 15-week run.

The record featured 5 singles, including “Fire Lake”, “You’ll Accomp’ny Me”, “The Horizontal Bop”, “Her Strut” and the title track.

Seger is currently on tour in support of his latest album, “Ride Out.”
