Motley Crue announce farewell Australian tour dates



Motley Crue have announced a series of Australian concert dates as part of their farewell tour.

The band are set to play five shows down under – with special guest Alice Cooper – starting May 12 in Melboure; they’ll also hit Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide before wrapping up in Perth on May 23.

“We can’t wait to celebrate 34 years of Mötley Crüe with our Australian fans and come over there one last time,” says bassist Nikki Sixx. “We always have an amazing time in Australia and we’re not holding back either… we are bringing along our full production including the Crüecifly drum coaster, as well as the pyro and every other bell and whistle.”

A Telstra pre-sale runs midday Thursday, February 26 until 5pm Sunday March 1; a My Live Nation pre-sale starts at 10am Monday, March 2 an d runs until 10pm Tuesday. March 3.

General public tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 4 at 11 am.

Motley Crue recently announced the final North American dates of the farewell tour, which will wrap up December 31 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Motley Crue were named the No. 4 Rock News Artist Of The Year and delivered the No. 6 Rock News Story Of The Year as part of the 5th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards.
