VIDEO: Metallica perform Master Of Puppets classic in San Francisco

Metallica are sharing footage from a corporate gig they played February 9 at Pier 48 in San Francisco for cloud computing company Salesforce.com.

“10 days ago, we played at a surprise party thrown by our friend Marc Benioff for the employees of his little up-and-coming company called Salesforce,” says the band. “Check out the #MetOnTour video from the gig featuring footage from the Tuning Room and "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" from the show.”

Fan-filmed video from the show can be viewed here.

The group played the same event in 2011 when the company's chief executive officer, Marc Benioff, asked his neighbor – Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett – if they would perform.

Metallica are currently in studio working on the follow-up to 2008’s “Death Magnetic.”

The band return to live action May 9 when they headline the inaugural Rock In Rio USA festival in Las Vegas.

The event will mark Metallica’s return to the Rock in Rio festival following performances at Rock in Rio Lisboa in 2004, 2008 and 2012 (which featured a performance of 1991’s “Metallica” album), Rock in Rio Madrid in 2010, as well as in the fest’s home city of Rio in 2011 and 2013.

“Our friends from Rock in Rio USA are heading Stateside for the first time and we're thrilled to be a part of it!,” said Metallica. “See you in Las Vegas one night during the first weekend of the festival, May 8-9, 2015!”
