Deep Purple announce North American tour



Deep Purple have announced the first series of dates for a summer tour of North America.

Following a 6-show run in mexico in May and June, the band will open the trek in Lewiston, NJ on July 14, with dates currently scheduled to mid-August and more to be announced.

Deep Purple have reportedly been working on new music for the follow-up to 2013’s “NOW What?!” album.

The group’s mid-70’s era is being saluted by former member David Coverdale as Whitesnake pay tribute with “The Purple Album.”

Due May 19, the project sees the singer re-recording classic songs from the Deep Purple’s Mark 3 and Mark 4 records he appeared on: “Burn” (1974), “Stormbringer” (1974) and “Come Taste The Band” (1975).
