Megadeth: Dave Mustaine lists California home for $5.3 million

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has listed his estate in the northern San Diego, California community of Fallbrook for sale at $5.375 million.

The Los Angeles Times reports the 9.5-acre spread includes vineyards, pastureland and a pond.

Built in 1990, the country English-style main residence features 5,345 square feet of living space with five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and ten fireplaces.

The property also includes a paneled media room/den, a bar, an office, a gym and a state-of-the-art sound and recording studio that was once a pool house.

Mustaine moved to Nashville in 2014, where he and Megadeth recorded their 15th album, “Dystopia”, earlier this year.

Due January 22, the follow-up to 2013’s “Super Collider” features new guitarist Kiko Loureiro and guest drummer Chris Adler from Lamb Of God following last fall’s departure of Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover.

Megadeth is previewing the project with the lead single, “Fatal Illusion.”
