Eric Clapton to release 9-LP vinyl box set

Eric Clapton will release “The Studio Album Collection”, a limited edition 9-LP vinyl box set highlighting his years with Polydor/RSO on January 29.

The package features remastered editions of the guitarist’s 1970 projects – his self-titled debut and his double album with Derek And The Dominos – plus six others including his best-selling 70s record , 1977’s “Slowhand.”

Pressed on 180 gram vinyl with replica album packaging, the collection also comes with a download voucher.

Last month, Clapton issued “Slowhand At 70 - Live At The Royal Albert Hall.”

The set captures the guitarist during his 7-show run at the famed London venue in May in honor of his 70th birthday in March.

The series of shows also marked Clapton’s 50 years in the music business and more than 200 performances at The Royal Albert Hall.
