Eric Clapton announces Crossroads Guitar Festival 2026

Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival 2026 returns to Texas, taking place September 26-27 in Austin, Texas at Moody Center.

It will be his seventh festival and is being held in celebration of the 28th anniversary of the 1998 founding of the Crossroads Centre Antigua.

The event will feature main stage concerts and muti-artist collaborations by some of the best guitarists in the world from across multiple musical genres. Among numerous Crossroads veterans returning this year will be Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr., Billy Gibbons, Buddy Guy, Sonny Landreth, John Mayer, Del McCoury Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Jimmie Vaughan, while Trey Anastasio, Tommy Emmanuel, Julian Lage and Pete Townshend will be making their Crossroads debuts. As in past Festivals, Eric Clapton will perform both nights.

Guitar Center returns as the exclusive retail partner of the Crossroads Festival 2026, continuing its longstanding support of the event and its mission to benefit the Crossroads Centre Antigua.

This year, Guitar Center will bring its presence to life through The Guitar Center Experience, an immersive destination at the venue where fans can explore gear, connect with leading guitar brands including Fender, Gibson, Martin, PRS and Ernie Ball, and engage in hands-on interactive moments throughout the weekend. Guitar Center will offer on-site retail, giving attendees access to an exclusive curated collection tied to the festival.

The experience will also feature a rare showcase of iconic guitars from Guitar Center's Legends Collection, including Eric Clapton's 1956 Fender Stratocaster, "Blackie", and the 1964 Gibson ES-335 he played in Cream, as well as Stevie Ray Vaughan's legendary 1965 Fender Stratocaster, "Lenny", offering fans a closer look at instruments that have shaped history, alongside a celebration of guitar culture and its icons. Continuing its legacy of honoring legends, Guitar Center will induct an artist - to be announced - into its famed RockWalk onsite during the Festival. Pre-show admission to the Guitar Center Experience will be open daily two hours before showtime to ticketholders only.

The Crossroads Center Antigua booth will have staff available to help individuals and families learn more about the treatment philosophy and programs at the Centre, and how to begin the process of addiction recovery and what to expect along that journey.

Eric Clapton announces fall US tour

Eric Clapton has announced a brand-new run of tour dates across the U.S. this upcoming fall.

The six show September series – with guest Jimmie Vaughan – will stop in major markets including Detroit, MI, Chicago, IL and Cincinnati, OH.

The 2026 Eric Clapton touring band will be: Doyle Bramhall II - Guitar; Sonny Emory - Drums; Chris Stainton - Keyboards; Nathan East - Bass; Tim Carmon - B3 Hammond Organ; Katie Kissoon - Backing Vocals; and Sharon White - Backing Vocals.

Tickets will go on sale on March 6th at 10 a.m. local time.

Late last year, Clapton released a remastered special edition of his 1989 album “Journeyman” via Bushbranch/Surfdog Records; the set features four brand-new bonus tracks.

Recorded in New York and London studios with producer Russ Titelman, Clapton’s eleventh record – launched with the lead single “Pretending” – was a Top 10 set in multiple countries and featured guest performances from George Harrison, Phil Collins, Chaka Khan, Daryl Hall, Robert Cray, and more.

Eric Clapton is streaming a video for “Higher Power”, a bonus track from the newly-released and expanded edition of his 1989 album, “Journeyman.”

The song is one of four bonus tunes on “Journeyman: Deluxe Edition”, alongside “Border Song”, “That Kind Of Woman”, and “Forever.”

Recorded in New York and London studios with producer Russ Titelman, Clapton’s eleventh record – launched with the lead single “Pretending” – was a Top 10 set in multiple countries and featured guest performances from George Harrison, Phil Collins, Chaka Khan, Daryl Hall, Robert Cray, and more.

In the album's liner notes: "Journeyman finds Clapton overcoming battles with alcohol, drugs, and record labels, while celebrating the thing that always kept him running: His endless capacity to chase his music on whatever journey it takes him on, reflecting his life back at him with his guitar playing."

Due November 21 via Bushbranch/Surfdog Records, the 2025 project adds four bonus tracks to “Journeyman: Deluxe Edition” – including “Higher Power”, “Border Song”, “That Kind Of Woman”, and “Forever."

In the album's liner notes: "A few years ago, Clapton was on YouTube, just poking around looking at old footage and songs, and found that fans had uploaded outtakes and bonus cuts of songs from the Journeyman sessions. Eric Clapton announces US tour dates

Eric Clapton has announced dates for a limited run of US concerts this fall.

The tour begins in Nashville, TN at Bridgestone Arena on September 8 and will continue for five additional dates making stopping at Cleveland’s Rocket Arena, Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, Boston’s TD Garden, New York’s Madison Square Garden and Uncasville’s Mohegan Sun Arena.

Eric’s band for the U.S. tour will be Nathan East (bass / vocals), Edward ‘Sonny’ Emory III (drums), Doyle Bramhall II (Guitar), Tim Carmon (Hammond / keyboards), Chris Stainton (keyboard) Sharon White (backing vocals) and Katie Kissoon (backing vocals).

Tickets will be available starting with local presale on Thursday, March 6 at 10 am local, followed by general on sale on Friday, March 7 at 10 am local.

The tour comes on the heels of the release of Eric’s recent studio album, “Meanwhile”, from Bushbranch/Surfdog Records.

The album features collaborations with Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, Bradley Walker, Judith Hill, Daniel Santiago, and Simon Climie, six brand new songs and eight previously released singles.

Clapton will return to the stage in April when he plays an 8-show residency at Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan, followed by three Royal Albert Hall concerts and other European stops.

“The Definitive 24 Nights” includes nearly six hours of live music, and 35 unreleased performances. The collection distills Clapton's 1990-91 Albert Hall residencies using the best performances from the rock, blues, and orchestral nights to create full concerts for each genre.

Clapton was joined a number of guests during the performances, including Johnnie Johnson, Jimmie Vaughan, Chuck Leavell, Phil Collins, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Nathan East, Greg Phillinganes, Steve Ferrone, Ray Cooper, and Jerry Portnoy.

The box set is now available in 6-CD/3-Blu-Ray and 8-LP/3-Blu-Ray configurations, with both editions including a hardbound book, and an individually numbered lithograph featuring a photograph of Clapton by Carl Studna; the rock, blues, and orchestral concerts from the box set are also available individually as 2-CD/DVD and vinyl sets.

The limited run of exclusive shows includes four nights at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, as well as dates in Newcastle, Liverpool, Birmingham and Dublin.

Clapton – who recently hosted a pair of tribute shows at Royal Albert Hall in honor of the late Jeff Beck – is next scheduled to play a series of North American concerts this September.

The 2023 series will include the 7th installment of the Crossroads Guitar Festival over two nights at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA; the event will feature an extensive array of artists, including Sheryl Crow, ZZ Top, Jimmie Vaughan, Robbie Robertson, Santana, Los Lobos, the John Mayer Trio and more.

Eric Clapton announces 2023 Crossroads Guitar Festival

Eric Clapton has announced details for the 7th installment of the Crossroads Guitar Festival.

The event - which has become legendary in its own right for hosting performances and impromptu collaborations from the world’s most renowned guitar players – will take place over two nights on September 23 and 24 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA.

The seventh installment in the festival series will feature an extensive array of artists, including Sheryl Crow, ZZ Top, Jimmie Vaughan, Robbie Robertson, Santana, Los Lobos, the John Mayer Trio and more.

Tickets to the 2023 Crossroads Guitar festival will go on sale Friday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m. local via Ticketmaster; please note that each day will be sold as its own ticket and there will not be 2-day passes.

All profits from the Festival will benefit The Crossroads Centre in Antigua, a treatment and education facility founded by Clapton for chemically dependent persons; for more information visit crossroadsantigua.org.

David Lee Roth details Eric Clapton influence on Eddie Van Halen on The Roth Show

David Lee Roth shares some of the history of Eric Clapton’s influence on Eddie Van Halen in the latest episode of The Roth Show.

Van Halen – who cited Clapton as a hero during interviews throughout his lifetime – regularly performed tracks from his work with Cream during the band’s early years on the Southern California party circuit.

“Eddie Van Halen was an Eric Clapton acolyte; he followed him like a disciple,” recalls Roth about that era in the band’s history. “Eddie barely could afford shoelaces when he was learning to play guitar…he had one gold top Les Paul. I used to sit right across from him in his little room, almost knee-to-knee touching. [We] slept on crates with a mattress on it. He would sit on the mattress, and I’d sit on the amp right in front of him on the Marshall stack bottom right in front of him, our knees almost touching, and writing the songs we became famous for.”

“And there was one poster who was Eric Clapton, who is the mirror image of 24 other folks that he was a disciple of, who is a mirror image, and [Eddie] started off as a mirror image of Eric Clapton and took it way beyond the curtain of space across the trackless void.”

Roth mixes his storytelling duties as host with a selection of songs in the latest edition of The Roth Show.

Eric Clapton announces North American tour

Eric Clapton has announced dates for a fall series of North American concerts.

The week-long run – with guest Jimmie Vaughan – will open in Pittsburgh, PA on September 8 before hitting Toronto, St. Louis and Minneapolis before wrapping up September 16 in Denver, CO.

Clapton's band for the fall performances will include Doyle Bramhall II, Paul Carrack, Nathan East, Sonny Emory, and Chris Stainton with Sharon White and Katie Kissoon on backing vocals.

The newly announced shows will be Clapton's only North American dates for 2023.

Ticket presales begin Tuesday, March 28 at 10am local time with the public on sale starting Friday, March 31 at 10am local time.

Clapton will play a six-show series of performances at the legendary Budokan in Tokyo next month before hosting a pair of all-star tribute concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall honoring the work of the late Jeff Beck.

Eric Clapton announces Jeff Beck tribute concert

Eric Clapton will lead an all-star tribute concert honoring the work of legendary guitarist Jeff Beck.

In association with Sandra Beck and The Jeff Beck Estate, Clapton has announced “A Tribute To Jeff Beck With Eric Clapton & Friends” that will see the music community come together to honor the late guitarist, who passed away on January 10 at the age of 78 after suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis.

The concerts – which will take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London, UK on May 22 and 23 – will see members of the Jeff Beck Band (Rhonda Smith, Anika Nilles and Robert Stevenson) joined by an extensive list of artists, including Doyle Bramhall II, Gary Clark Jr, Johnny Depp, Billy F Gibbons, Imelda May, John McLaughlin, Robert Randolph, Olivia Safe, Rod Stewart, Joss Stone, and the Tedeschi Trucks Band.

A full list of artists will be finalized near the date of the performances.

Tickets for the events will go on sale Wednesday, March 15 at 10am GMT.

Beck rose to prominence in 1965 when he joined The Yardbirds as a replacement for Clapton, and briefly performed alongside Jimmy Page in the lineup before being fired during a US tour.

Ozzy Osbourne releases video for One Of Those Days featuring Eric Clapton

Ozzy Osbourne has released a video for “One Of Those Days” featuring Eric Clapton, the latest single from his newly-available album, “Patient Number 9.”

Clapton is one of several guests on the singer’s thirteenth studio record, which also sees appearances by Jeff Beck, Tony Iommi, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction.

The 2022 album was produced by guitarist Andrew Watt and built around a core lineup of veteran Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.

The new release marks the follow-up to Osbourne’s 2020 album, “Ordinary Man.”

Eric Clapton shares 1994 performance of Motherless Child

Eric Clapton is sharing video of a 1994 performance of the blues classic, “Motherless Child”, as the latest preview to the June 24 release of the live concert film and companion soundtrack, “Nothing But The Blues.”

The guitarist was captured over two nights at the Fillmore in San Francisco, CA on tour in support of the blues covers album, “From The Cradle”, in the film, which was broadcast once in the U.S. on PBS in 1995 and nominated for an Emmy Award and now newly-upgraded to 4K for its long-awaited official release.

Written and produced by Scooter Weintraub and executive produced by Martin Scorsese, the documentary includes an in-depth interview with Clapton conducted by Scorsese. Throughout the interview, Clapton discusses his love for the blues and the profound impact bluesmen like Muddy Waters and B.B. King had on his music. Many of those artists (Robert Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, Buddy Guy, T-Bone Walker) appear in the film through vintage performances, interviews, and photographs.

At the heart of the film and audio formats are Clapton’s performances of blues standards and lesser-known blues songs. The CD features 17 songs; the double LP 18, and the DVD and Blu-ray each contain 20 songs.

In addition to the film, Reprise will release a new soundtrack with more than an hour of previously unreleased live performances recorded during the 1994 tour.

“Nothing But The Blues” and the accompanying soundtrack will be available in multiple formats: The Super Deluxe Edition comes with the documentary on Blu-ray, the soundtrack on both 2-LP vinyl and CD, a bonus CD with four extra tracks “Driftin’,” County Jail Blues,” “Kid Man Blues,” and “Too Bad,” and an exclusive hardcover book with memorabilia, including a numbered lithograph, 12x24 poster, Clapton guitar string set, custom guitar picks, and an exclusive bandana.

The documentary will also be available separately on Blu-ray and DVD , while the soundtrack will be issued as a standalone on CD and 2LP vinyl; the music will also be available from digital and streaming services on the same day.

Eric Clapton postpones shows after testing Covid positive

Eric Clapton has postponed the launch of his spring European tour after testing positive for Covid-19.

The guitarist “is unfortunately suffering from Covid having tested positive shortly after the second concert at the Royal Albert Hall [on May 8],” shared his team on social media. “He has been told by his medical advisors that if he were to resume traveling and performing too soon, it could substantially delay his full recovery. Eric is also anxious to avoid passing on any infection to any of his band, crew, Promoters, their staff and of course the fans.”

Clapton initially postponed a May 17 event in Zurich, Switzerland and a May 18 stop in Milan, Italy and, after testing Covid-positive again on May 19, has determined that he is unable to perform scheduled May 20 and 21 dates in Bologna, Italy at this time.

“The postponed concerts will be rescheduled by the end of this year,” advises his team. “The announcement of the new dates will be made within the next two weeks, and tickets purchased will remain valid for the new rescheduled dates.

“The next scheduled concert forming part of the current tour will be in Berlin on Sunday, 29th May by which time we have every hope that there will be no obstacle to Eric being able to perform that concert and the remainder of the scheduled concerts.”

Clapton’s European tour – which includes multiple shows in Amsterdam and Copenhagen – is scheduled to wrap up in Tampere, Finland on June 17.

Eric Clapton announces US tour

Eric Clapton has announced dates for a fall US tour.

The seven-show September series will see the guitarist play Columbus, Detroit, Pittsburgh and two nights each in Chicago and NewYork City.

Clapton’s band for these shows will include Doyle Bramhall II, Paul Carrack, Nathan East, Sonny Emory and Chris Stainton with Sharon White and Katie Kissoon on backing vocals; the shows will feature Jimmie Vaughan as special guest.

Tickets for the Columbus, Detroit and New York events will go on sale to the general public via the usual outlets on Friday, May 20, while seats for Chicago and Pittsburgh will be available on Friday, June 10.

Earlier this month, Clapton played a pair of shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall, and he will begin a European tour in Bologna, Italy on May 20.
