Hollywood Vampires to perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

The Hollywood Vampires will perform on CBS-TV’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday, July 11.

Led by the trio of Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, the supergroup are currently playing dates on a summer run across North America.

Joining the trio for the shows are drummer Matt Sorum, guitarist Tommy Henriksen, multi-instrumentalist Bruce Witkin on piano, percussion and guitar, and Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots, who steps in on bass for Duff McKagan while he’s on the road with Guns N’ Roses.

The group’s live schedule is built around touring commitments to other projects by its members.

“We have to carefully schedule the Vampires,” Cooper told Rolling Stone. “That’s because you have Johnny’s movie schedule, you’ve got Aerosmith, you’ve got Guns N’ Roses and you’ve got me! It’s five entities going five different directions.

“To get those guys all at once when we’re not working is really unique, so everybody looks at their calendar and you have to find that two weeks where everybody’s off.”

Last year, the band released their self-titled debut, which featured a collection of covers of tracks by The Who, John Lennon, T. Rex and more.

Hollywood Vampires issued a deluxe edition of the debut in the new year, which also included a new original single, “As Bad As I Am.”
