Finalists for the 16th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2025 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 24.

Rock News Story Of The Year No. 4: OZZY OSBOURNE
Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at the age of 76.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” shared his family in a statement. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis”
The rocker’s passing comes just weeks after Osbourne and Black Sabbath delivered their final performances in a farewell event in their hometown of Birmingham, UK on July 5.
Billed as “Back To The Beginning”, the band were joined by a number of guest artists paying tribute to the influential heavy metal band
