The Cult announce US tour dates

The Cult have extended their North American tour in support of “Hidden City” with a newly-announced series of US dates through the summer and early fall.

Tickets are now available for headlining shows starting August 2 in San Antonio, TX, with dates running into early October.

Released earlier this year, “Hidden City” sees The Cult once again working with producer Bob Rock, who they teamed with for 1989’s “Sonic Temple”, 1994’s self-titled album, 2001’s “Beyond Good And Evil” and 2012’s ”Choice Of Weapon.”

The band’s 10th album is billed as the third and final installment in a trilogy of recordings that began with 2007's “Born Into This” and “Choice Of Weapon.”

"Our post-modern roots have kept the creative process vibrant,” says singer Ian Astbury, “and we continue to evolve."

"Like all Cult albums - since Ian and I began writing together - we try our best to honestly reflect what we are feeling, doing and listening to,” adds guitarist Billy Duffy. “Hidden City is no exception and I'm thrilled to have had a creative part in such a critically acclaimed - but, more importantly - Cult-fan-acclaimed album. The dialogue between us all continues..."

Astbury and Duffy are touring with a lineup that includes bassist Grant Fitzpatrick, drummer John Tempesta and keyboardist / rhythm guitarist Damon Fox.

Up next, The Cult will open four concerts for Guns N’ Roses, including upcoming stops in Atlanta, GA, Orlando, FL, New Orleans, LA and Arlington, TX.
