Bruce Springsteen to discuss Born To Run memoir on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Bruce Springsteen will discuss his memoir, “Born To Run”, with an extended interview on CBS-TV’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday, September 23.

Due September 27 via Simon & Schuster, the book sees the singer recount growing up in Freehold, NJ, his early days as a bar band king in Asbury Park, and the rise of the E Street Band.

The New Jersey rocker has been privately writing his story over the past seven years, starting in 2009 after performing with the E Street Band at Super Bowl 43’s halftime show in Tampa, FL.

Springsteen’s first Late Show appearance on his 67th birthday also lands on the same day he releases “Chapter And Verse”, a new collection featuring unreleased and classic tracks that doubles as an audio companion to the memoir.

The singer will support both projects with a 9-city book tour starting in his hometown of Freehold, NJ on September 27.

Springsteen recently wrapped up a series of summer US stadium dates on The River Tour 2016 with a show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.
