Red Hot Chili Peppers to perform at Los Angeles Rams NFL home opener

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will help kick off the Los Angeles Rams’ inaugural season back home in Southern California with a performance prior to the historic home opener at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, September 18.

The pregame performance leads into the Rams hosting the Seattle Seahawks during the first NFL game in Los Angeles in 22 years.

“Since I was a little boy, I’ve taken joy in the beauty of the Rams,” says Flea. “When I moved to Los Angeles in 1972, I was getting uprooted from my home and I thought, ‘Well, where I’m going they’ve got the Rams. It’s going to be all right.’”

Gates to the Coliseum open at 11:00 AM PT and fans should be in their seats 30-minutes prior to kickoff to see the performance.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers recently premiered a video for “Go Robot” as the latest single from “The Getaway.”

Directed by Thoranna Sigurdardottir and filmed over two days in Brooklyn, New York, the clip was inspired by and recreates classic scenes from "Saturday Night Fever" and features the exact same locations used in the film.

Produced by Danger Mouse, "The Getaway" marks the Los Angeles group’s first album in five years.
