U2 release Get Out Of Your Own Way video

U2 have released an animated video for the “Songs Of Experience” track “Get Out Of Your Own Way.”

The clip was directed by the Israeli graffiti collective Broken Fingaz Crew, whose provocative and groundbreaking fluorescent sketches were among the first street art in their native Haifa; the team also recently worked with U2 on a video for “American Soul.”

"The video addresses the current political situation,” says the Crew. “2017 for us was the year fascists worldwide felt confident enough to raise their heads again, encouraged by Donald Trump and other world leaders, who use people's fear to build more walls and segregation.

“The song is both a personal letter and a clarion cry to the global situation, and in the same way, we've combined our psychedelic pop style with political imagery; shot entirely analogue, using paper cut and stop motion animation techniques in collaboration with Adam Albo, who edited the video."

U2 launched “Songs Of Experience” last month with performances of both “Get Out Of Your Own Way” and “American Soul” on Saturday Night Live.

Already confirmed to begin a North American tour on May 2 in Tulsa, OK, U2 have just announced dates for a fall trek across Europe that will open in Berlin, Germany on August 31.

Tickets for the announced shows will go on sale from Friday, January 26 and U2.com subscribers will be first in line in a pre-sale beginning Thursday, January 18 at 10:00 am and running through Saturday, January 20 at 5:00 pm.
