The Osbournes share Ozzy Osbourne health update

Members of the Osbourne family are sharing an update on Ozzy Osbourne as he continues to recover from a recent upper respiratory condition that escalated to pneumonia during an extended hospital stay.

Almost five weeks since the rocker was admitted to the intensive care ward of Keck Hospital of University of Southern California for the issue, his wife/manager Sharon and son, Jack, spoke about his progress with the US syndicated daily entertainment news show "Access."

"Well, if this gauges where he's at, he's complaining a lot and he's back to his normal routine,” explained Jack. “So everything's A-okay there."

"That's always a good sign, when he complains and he's miserable,” added Sharon. “Then you know it's good."

"It's when he's happy and skipping around,” laughed Jack, “You're like, 'There's something really wrong here. Call the doctor.'"

Ozzy’s health problems initially resulted in the postponement of an entire UK and European tour, before the singer was forced to shut down performances in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Ozzy is currently scheduled to resume his farewell run when he begins a North American tour with an appearance in late May at Rocklahoma in Pryor, OK and a headline show in Atlanta, GA on May 29.
