Motley Crue to host The Dirt virtual watch party

Motley Crue will host a virtual watch party with fans for their Netflix biopic, "The Dirt", this Friday, May 15.

“Watch The Dirt with the Crüe & special guests on Netflix this Friday 5/15 at 4pm PST! (7pm EST),” says the band. “Follow along with special commentary on Mötley Crüe's twitter using the hashtag #stayhomesweethome”

Directed by Jeff Tremaine, the 2019 Netflix film follows Motley Crue’s rise from the Los Angeles club scene to headline-making international stardom and stars Machine Gun Kelly as drummer Tommy Lee, Daniel Webber as singer Vince Neil, Douglas Booth as bassist Nikki Sixx and Iwan Rheon as guitarist Mick Mars.

The buzz created by the film convinced Motley Crue to reunite for a US tour with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts; scheduled to begin in Jacksonville, FL on June 18, the status of the series remains up in the air.

"We wanted to reach out to all of our amazing fans and let you know that we've been hard at work preparing an amazing show,” said the bands in a recent joint statement. "Our priority during this unprecedented time is to make sure that we are being as thoughtful and responsible as possible in the decisions we are making regarding The Stadium Tour and that we are putting the fans' health, well-being and safety first and foremost.

"We are currently weighing all options and are awaiting further direction from the powers that be. Our goal is to have an official update to everyone by June 1 outlining exactly how we will proceed.

“In the meantime, stay safe and healthy. We can't wait to see you all again.”
