Metallica are sharing video of a 2013 concert in Melbourne, Australia in the latest installment of their weekly streaming series Metallica Mondays.
The band were filmed headlining the Soundwave Festival at the city’s Flemington Racecourse on March 1, 2013; the Melbourne show landed in the middle of five Soundwave gigs the group would play across the country at the time.
Metallica launched the weekly feature in March with a 2019 show at the iconic Slane Castle in Meath, Ireland.
Last week, drummer Lars Ulrich shared the band’s plans for its next release during an appearance on ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel live: an "S&M2" box set featuring material from a pair of shows last fall with the San Francisco Symphony.
The events celebrated the opening of the city’s Chase Center while also marking the 20th Anniversary of the pairing’s 1999 live performance recording “S&M.”
