Judas Priest announce rescheduled North American tour

Judas Priest have announced the rescheduled dates for their 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour of North America.

Originally set for last fall, the shows were postponed due to the pandemic and the shutdown of the live music industry.

Now, the legendary UK metal band will return to the stage for shows – with guest Sabaton – starting September 8 in Reading, PA, with dates wrapping up in early November with three Canadian concerts.

The series see the addition of almost 20 new dates, with tickets for those shows going on sale beginning this Friday, June 11 at 10am local time.

Tickets for the previously announced tour dates are available now.

“Defending the heavy metal faith for fifty years, the Priest is back!”, says frotnman Rob Halford.

Formed in Birmingham in 1969 and fronted by original vocalist Al Atkins, it was the arrival of Halford in 1973 and their debut album, “Rocka Rolla”, a year later that launched Judas Priest on an international basis while going on to create a catalog of 18 studio albums and worldwide sales of almost 50 million copies.

The group’s most recent release is 2018’s “Firepower.”
