Ghost stream Mary On A Cross lyric video

Ghost are streaming a lyric video for their song "Mary On A Cross."

The clip features newly unearthed, never before seen vintage Super 8 footage of the band's early lineup captured in performance at Los Angeles' Whisky-A-Go-Go in 1969.

The track – which originally surfaced on the 2019 EP, “Seven Inches of Satanic Panic” – recently became the Swedish band’s first song to crack the Billboard Hot 100 on its way to US Gold status for sales of 500,000 copies.

"Mary On A Cross" had been gaining traction after a TikTok user used a slowed down version of the song to soundtrack a short video about the Netflix show "Stranger Things"; since then, the "Mary On The Cross" hashtag has amassed over one billion TikTok views and the song was used to soundtrack tens of thousands of videos on the platform. Ghost later released the official slowed down version of "Mary On A Cross" with added reverb.

The song will appear on the newly announced purple vinyl 7" release of “Seven Inches Of Satanic Panic.”

Ghost’s latest album, “Impera”, won the inaugural Favorite Rock Album category at the 2022 American Music Awards event in Los Angeles, CA on November 20.
