Van Halen and Rush have made Billboard magazine's "Music's Top 40 Money Makers 2013" list, compiled by measuring touring revenue, music sales, publishing royalties and other streaming and on-demand figures over the past 12 months.
Madonna topped the list with income of $34.5 million, thanks to her MDNA tour, the biggest of 2012.
Bruce Springsteen landed in second spot with $33.4 million, followed by Roger Waters at $21.1 million.
Van Halen came in at #4 at $20.1 million, drawing more than a half-million fans for their “A Different Kind Of Truth” tour; impressive numbers considering 32 shows were cancelled due to Eddie’s surgery for Diverticulitis.
At #17, Nickelback rounded out the list of rockers in the top 20; the second half of the list includes The Red Hot Chili Peppers (25), The Rolling Stones (26), Rush (28), The Black Keys (32) and Journey (35).
