The Las Vegas Police Department have launched an internal investigation after a member of Guns N' Roses and his fiancé were given a private ride in a police helicopter, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba posted photos online of a "private tour over Vegas" in a police helicopter that he and fiancé, actress/model Nathalia Henao, were given a private ride took as part of Ashba’s marriage proposal.
Ashba's girlfriend said yes to the proposal after the helicopter "landed in a field" next to a table with roses and champagne, he wrote. "It was beautiful she didn't expect a thing, it was magical."
"That was the most incredible day of our life!!" the guitarist posted on his Instagram account. "Special thx to the Las Vegas Police Dept. for the most amazing helicopter private tour over Vegas!"
A Police spokesperson confirmed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the department has launched an internal investigation into the matter. Department officials are reportedly livid about the helicopter ride in light of a tragic accident last month.
Search and Rescue officer David VanBuskirk was killed last month after he fell while being hoisted to a helicopter during a late night rescue of a stranded hiker.
