VIDEO: Metallica attend Through The Never premieres across America

Metallica have released a video package following band members as they premiere of their new 3D film, “Through The Never”, across America.

The movie, which has its world premiere last month at the Toronto International Film Festival, had several follow-up premieres in the States leading up to its September 27th IMAX launch.

The opening weekend launch saw band members spread out across the U.S. to personally introduce the film, which tells the story of a band crew member named Trip (played by Dane DeHaan) who is sent out on a mission during Metallica's live set in front of a sold-out arena: to meet a disabled truck and retrieve a particular item. However, the routine task turns into a surreal odyssey when Trip's van is hit by another vehicle, and he subsequently finds himself up against a death-dealing horseman. As Trip flees through desolate streets, he has only his wits to help him avoid the deadly horseman and deliver Metallica's cargo.

The film scored the best opening weekend ever for a concert film at IMAX theaters last weekend, debuting on 305 screens and earning $1.67 million. The movie will expand to 650 screens across the U.S. this weekend.
