Foo Fighters among acts playing Super Bowl concerts

The Foo Fighters are among the acts lined up to play concerts in New York City during Super Bowl weekend late next month.

The Bud Light Hotel will host a 4-day series of shows on a brand-new cruise ship docked on the Hudson River.

The festivities will kick off on Thursday, January 30 with "The Roots Present Hip Hop NYC" featuring RUN DMC, Busta Rhymes and special guests. The show will pay tribute to New York's hip-hop legacy with The Roots performing alongside legendary New York hip-hop artists.

Imagaine Dragons will perform on Friday, January 31. One of the biggest breakout acts of 2013, the group were recently nominated for a pair of 2014 Grammy Awards, including "Record Of The Year" and "Best Rock Performance" for their hit single, "Radioactive."

Te Foo Fighters and the Zac Brown Band will play on Super Bowl eve - Saturday, February 1. Foo frontman Dave Grohl recently collaborated with the group on their newest project, "The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1."

Super Bowl Sunday will see performances by rockers Fall Out Boy and multi-platinum selling country star Jake Owen.

Super Bowl 48 happens Sunday, February 2 at New York’s MetLife Stadium; Bruno Mars will perform the halftime show at the game.

Following an extensive world tour in support of 2011’s “Wasting Light” album, the Foo Fighters recently returned from a year-long hiatus with two concerts in Mexico City at the 55,000 capacity Foro Sol Stadium.

Before heading to Mexico, the band played a surprise warmup show at Rock & Roll Pizza in Moorpark, California – check out video of the event here.
